A little architecture of Taiwan Center

Inspired by the elegant shape of the Nautilus Shell, here are some pictures of the Taiwan Center for Disease Control Biolab. Its facade is of geometric patterns, the 4 symbols of the DNA sequence of the bacteria on which they base their studies. The message of the Taiwan Center: “The prevention of epidemics is a war we intend to win.”

A project conducted jointly by Manfredi Nicoletti and Arco Architects & Designers, he received an honorable mention in a contest for designing a new center for disease control located in the Hsinchu Biomedical Science Park. Although we do not know if anyone will really see the pathogen code hidden in the structure from the outside, this architecture shows us that beauty lies in the most destructive of nature.
